Originally built over a crawl space, the house was lifted after Superstorm Sandy and placed on timber pilings.  It is a reverse living house with the bedrooms on the first floor and the great room on the second floor to take advantage of ocean views over the dune.  

Adjacent to their first house, yet built 9 years later, this house was designed to be elevated on pilings.  Also a reverse living house, it was planned so the second floor decks would be adjacent to the deck on their other house.
