Located on a narrow corner lot in a flood zone, the buildable area according to the zoning ordinances was only 20 feet wide.  We were able to obtain a variance to build the house 26 feet wide. It was designed to have all the living areas for the single Owner on the first floor, with 3 guest bedrooms on the second floor for visiting children and grandchildren which can be closed off when not in use.  The screened porch off the kitchen faces a lake, providing a quiet spot to sit and enjoy the view.
